I am an unashamed lover of antiques, nostalgia, and the artful beauty of yesteryear. I love to spend weekends getting lost in the far corners of op shops and antique stores - rummaging around seeking dusty and discarded items that hold the tales of people long forgotten. 

As someone who has written and read a lot of stories in my time (I've been both a reporter and a librarian) it seems that much of what surrounds us has no story at all. The blur of modern life means many of our possessions are thrown away so quickly, they never get the chance to develop history.  This is why each of my garments are imagined around a story, and are made to last for generations. My hope is that they will gather a lived history, and eventually hold within them an entire novel of memories to be passed down over generations.

So I ask you, shall we make a nice cup of tea and start writing the first chapter together?
