sew for good

Sew for Good are Melbourne-based suppliers of GOTS certified organic cotton thread and elastic.

I chose 100% cotton thread and elastic to ensure that the composition and lifespan of fabric and notions are compatible. If for some inexplicable reason in 50 years time the garment is no longer wanted, all components are 100% biodegradable.

the remnant warehouse

The Remnant Warehouse is a fabulous family-run fabric business based in
Sydney.

As the name suggests, the majority of the stock is designer remnant or "deadstock" fabric that would otherwise have gone to waste. I buy my 100% cotton crochet trims from The Remnant Warehouse (rather than new) and am happy to be able to save these lovely trims from landfill!
