"...she had never encountered anyone quite like the woman who was browsing her father’s shop. Dressed in an astonishingly unique ensemble of varying hues of cream, pink and dashes of blood red, her thickly layered skirts flared dramatically from the waist, and fanned out behind her in a sweeping tail of tightly ruffled changeable silk trimmed with finely detailed lace. The bodice hugged her shapely figure, and was adorned with two rows of perfectly petite fabric covered buttons highlighting the central bodice panel. The sleeves of her bodice were gathered at the shoulder, to then gracefully taper down to narrow at her wrists and further accentuate her corseted waist. The dress was unlike any she had ever seen, and it was utterly mesmerising. Her father emerged from behind her to approach the woman, and enquire as to what services she might be seeking.
