forever pieces
megsmithmakes garments are designed to last a lifetime, so that each wear gathers memories and love. I sew only ten of each style, so each piece starts as something special.
-
true slow fashion
I don't keep stock, but rather make each garment to order in my Dandenong Ranges studio. This means it might take a while for your garment to arrive - but I believe good things are worth the wait.

transparency & traceability
The clothes we love should be made with love. I design with sustainability in mind, and am Ethical Clothing Australia accredited and a member of Seamless Australia. My supply chain is available to view here.
high waist, wide leg, super comfy
I am happy to report that I have made great progress designing and grading The Florist's Daughter high-waisted, wide leg pant.
Made from a soft and comfy cotton-linen blend, the pant will showcase four artworks from The Florist's Daughter collection (or perhaps more if I get carried away!). The design will also include a super-wide cuff, to enable them to be sewn up for a casual three-quarter length style, or let back down for a long and sleek evening look.
Keeping with my goal of full compostability where possible, the pant has no zips, buttons, or buckles, and instead features an adjustable tie waistband that can be loosened or tightened depending on how enjoyable lunch was, and whether any cake was involved 🎂
I am still working on pattern placement, but it's likely that a matching clutch, slow fashion patches, and possibly a scrunchie will come as part of the set. The pant will be available in Small, Medium and Large.
As with all my designs only 10 of each style will be made, so make sure you have signed up to my newsletter below to be amongst the first to know when they are released! 🤎

I am in awe of your beautiful work and will cherish these items forever. I will definitely use the cut off pieces to make my own brooch (I love wearing brooches!) and I will use the patches too. The presentation when opening the box was amazing!
I'm so happy!

I love your patches so much!! I took my last order in to my granddaughter today – she is studying fashion – and was delighted. I have just ordered another set for myself. Thank you for the beautiful work you are creating.
timeless, not trend
When I design my garments, I aim to incorporate what I feel are the
three principles of garment longevity - made to endure, made to adapt,
and made to outlast.
The fabrics I design feature stunning 19th century artworks - pieces that have captivated for centuries and will never fade from relevance. The cotton-linen blend on which the designs are printed is not only soft to the touch, but strong and double-stitched to withstand years of wear.
My one-size-fits-most philosophy ensures your garment will be a constant companion through time, adapting to your body so you may confidently wear it through all seasons of life.
My simple yet flattering designs are made to be versatile and elegant, so no matter what trends may come and go, your megsmithmakes piece will remain a beautiful and beloved wardrobe staple.
Timeless fashion is about investing in garments that are made to last - and to be loved - for years to come 🤎
